Born July 24 1921, passed away at Marin General Hospital on August 13, 2013 at the age of 92 surrounded by her loving family. Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Clair was the daughter of William A. Crampton and Golda (Fox) Crampton, she had lived in Marin County for 50 years. Clair’s husband, Andrew J. Wert, predeceased her in June 2003. Clair spent most of her life with unselfish devotion to her husband, children and her extended family and friends. Clair had a passion for dancing, cooking, crocheting, knitting and many other arts and crafts.
She is survived by her sons James W. Wert and wife Debra of Lyndhurst, OH, John A. Wert of Novato, David M. Wert and wife Kateryna of Petaluma; daughters Janice M. Bryant of Novato and Susan A. Yerby and husband Michael of Novato; grandchildren James W. Wert, Jr., Boca Raton, FL, Catherine C. Wert, New York, NY, Elizabeth M. Bryant, Santa Rosa, Brandon L. Wilson, Antioch, David M. Wert, Jr., San Rafael, Clark A. Wert, Petaluma and Sofia K. Wert, Petaluma; great-grandchildren Sarah Cole, Santa Rosa and Trinity D’Aiello, Santa Rosa. Services were private.
