Jerome Zoota, Novato, CA, died 11/17/2014 after fighting various health issues. His spirit & love for life, & love for others, will continue to live on through his children and many that knew & loved him as well.
Jerry was born 10/14/1938, in New York. He served in the Navy from 1955-1959. He moved to California in 1968, and spent 30 years thereafter working for Fireman's Fund. After retirement, Jerry followed his passion for the arts, and opened the local framing and art supplies store in Novato - Artist's Palette.
Jerry survived by his daughters, Merri Jose, and Helene Zoota, parents Herbert and Gussie Zoota, and brothers & sisters Isadore (D), Shirley Mirer 86, Eugene (D), Lawrence(D), Elaine Kramer 80, Martin(D), & Murray 69.
Jerry thrived in his art of acrylic paintings, loved puzzles, cooking, watching boxing & movies, news TV, making Costco runs, and spending time with his family. He was a man of business sense, he was loyal, generous, & warm. After retiring from Fireman's Fund, his art store is was what kept him inspired daily. He will be deeply missed. We can only aspire to sharing the love he did in his life.
