

Leonard Eugene Lynch Passed away on Monday January 31, 2011 in the comfort of his home. Born in 1920 was the third son of Edward J. Lynch and Violet Agnes Lynch. He was preceded in death by his wives, Eleanor Margaret (Burke) Lynch, Ann Elizabeth (DeVost) Lynch, Evelyn (Newhoff) Lynch and his brothers Edward J. Lynch and Raymond S. Lynch and his sister-in-law Lois Lynch. Leonard was the proud father of his sons, Leonard E. Lynch Jr., Gerald E. Lynch, and Michael J. Lynch, step father to Vance DeVost, Mark DeVost, Dennis DeVost, and Duane DeVost and father-in-law to Linda Lynch, Nadine Devost, Patty DeVost, and Annette DeVost. Leonard was the much adored grandfather of Kelly (Kevin) Henschel, Jaime (Cheryl) Lynch, Shannon (Jason) Lynch, Briana Lynch, Michael (Katie) Lynch, Danny Lynch, Reed DeVost, Kelly DeVost, Michele DeVost, Stephanie DeVost, Danielle DeVost, Eric (Jennifer) DeVost, and Adrianna DeVost, great grandfather of Bridget Lynch. He was survived by his cousin Agnes Scott Rosasco and many loving nieces and nephews. Leonard was a graduate of Star of the Sea Grammar School, St. Ignatius High School and the University of San Francisco. While a student at St. Ignatius, Leonard excelled in sports being name all-city athlete in track and football. Leonard proudly served his country during WWII as a Lieutenant in the United States Army. He enjoyed a long career as an electric contractor at Lynch Electric and Edward W. Scott Electric. He was a long time member of the San Francisco Electrical Contractors Association. He enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wives. The family wishes to thank his caregivers Aurora Sison and Marie Dizon. A rosary will be offered Monday February 7, at 7 PM at Keaton's Chapel in Novato 1801 Novato Boulevard and a funeral mass at St Anthony's of Padua church in Novato 1000 Cambridge St on February 8, at 11 AM, In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Anthony church.
