Mary Mullan

Mary Mullan Dec. 15, 1922 - June 15, 2012 Passed away surrounded by family in Novato on June 15 after losing her battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Phil Mullan in 1989. Mary is survived by her children: Mike (Jeri), Mark (Ginny), Matt (Rosanne), Marybethe, Marty (Tracey); and grandchildren: Jennifer (Dave), Jessica, Michelle, Gina, Corinn (Keyon), Erin, Michael, Caitlin, Molly, Phillip and Mackenzie; and great grandchildren: Sinead, Cavan and Aram. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mary moved to San Francisco after graduating from high school where she met and eventually married Phil Mullan and raised a family in San Francisco's Noe Valley. She was active in St. Philip the Apostle School and Parish for years. Following Phil's retirement from the SFFD, they moved to Novato. After Phil passed away in 1989, Mary remained active, loving to travel and volunteering her time helping others. She especially enjoyed holidays and special events when her family would gather to celebrate. A rosary will be held on Monday, June 25 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, 1806 Novato Blvd., Novato, CA 94947, with a funeral mass on Tuesday, June 26 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made in memory of Mary Mullan to Our Lady of Loretto School, 1811 Virginia Avenue, Novato, CA 94945.
