Mountford (Monte Sr.) was born to Ivan Maroevich and Florence Mountford, November 10, 1933 in San Francisco. As a Native Son, Mountford lived his entire life in the Bay Area, enjoying many years of sailing the San Francisco bay and playing golf.
In 1964, he met and married the love of his life, Margaret McGuire. They had two sons, Monte Jr. and Brian. Monte Sr. is also survived by his loving daughters-in-law, Jujo and Angela, and his three grandchildren, Ryder, Summer and Savannah.
Although tragically stricken by a stroke at the age of 68, leaving him with severe medical complications and paralysis, he was still able to share memories with friends, tell stories and jokes, and continue to engage with his family as a loving father and husband for many year after. We will miss him dearly.
