To my grandmother - Nanay, so many fun memories we’ve shared together especially when I was growing up. I still remember when I was eleven years old, and you agreed to take us to see Saturday Night Fever. After the movie you had asked me, “what kind of movie is that?!” :) But, halo halo and fresh lumpia for snacks made up for it. I will miss you physically but your memories will live in my heart. I know you’ll be happy to be reunited with Tatay and Uncle Victor. May you Rest In Peace,  Nanay

My Aunt, Chang Miding, is a beautiful, giving and caring person.  She's special woman to me because I never forget the warm and welcoming feeling she offered every time me and my sisters came for a visit at her home in Dimasalang, Pasay.  She was happy to see us and prepared meals and merienda for us.  My sisters and I as little kids were talkative and Chang intently listened to what we have to say and we carried on conversation.   I'd say Chang Miding was part of my life growing up in the Philippines as she often invited us to visit and were glad to see her and Chong and cousins.  When my family moved to California from the Philippines  our families were separated for number of years.  When Chang and Chong and family came to the States later, we were glad being reunited once again here in California.  

We had one unforgettable summer trip to Yosemite.  Such a wonderful time we had and together enjoyed exploring Yosemite for the first time.  She was so happy that all of our families got together and saw each other in America , but never in our wildest dream being together and explored the breathtaking scenery of Yosemite. I will always cherish these special memories with her.  She’ll be missed but I know we will be together again in God’s time.  

My most sincere sympathy to Gomez's families.  My prayers and thoughts are with you and may your beautiful mother rest now in God’s peace and glory.  Hold her close and cherish her beautiful memories.  God Bless.

I’ll miss when you would call and tell me to become a lawyer. I’ll even miss when you said my haircut was ugly because you are the only person who can say that.
