Catherine Mary Henderson was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 22, 1923 to James and Anna Kelly. She married Harry A. Henderson in 1945 in Chicago. They lived in Valdez, Alaska until 1967, at which time she moved to Oak Harbor, Washington. The Henderson family owned and operated the Queen Ann Motel from 1967 to 2001 and Henderson’s Restaurant from 1973 to 2001. She passed away on March 19, 2012 in Coupeville, Washington. Services were held at St. Augustine’s Church, Oak Harbor, on March 23.
She is survived by her son, Harry (Patty) Henderson, two granddaughters, Lisa (Steven) Bebee and Laura Henderson of Oak Harbor. Also surviving are great grandchildren Robert, Nichole, Cole, Blake and Brent and one great, great granddaughter, Kylie.
