

Born in Seattle in 1965, Kari was the daughter of Valentine and Nita Roll.
She graduated Foster High School, Burien, WA in 1983 and began a career in public safety, working for the Sea Tac Fire Department before taking a job with I-Comm 911 in Oak Harbor in 1996. She loved the intimacy of Whidbey Island and made many friends while living there.
Kari was a warm, caring, compassionate and generous woman with a unique sense of humor and a love for animals of all kinds. She had a knack for spontaneous giving of the most unique and creative gifts. Kari loved walking on the beach and hiking at Deception Pass, hot rods, buying and selling online and spending time with her boyfriend, Don and with friends and family. She was a vibrant and beautiful woman and a joy to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Kari is survived by her parents, Val & Nita Roll, brother Jeff, sister-in-law Patti, niece Rachel, several aunts and uncles and many cousins. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
A viewing is scheduled at the Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor, WA for Wednesday, June 27th at 1pm. A Memorial service will be held at Burley’s on Thursday, June 28th at 2:00 pm, followed by inurnment at the Maple Leaf Cemetery, concluding with a reception at Burley’s.
