The family of Alan Fiebig, of Arkansas, would like to announce that he went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5th 2025, at the age of 65.
Alan was born on April 12, 1960, in Illinois. After graduating from New Providence High School in New Jersey, he attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, which is where he met and married the love of his life, Arlene Osman, on August 1, 1981.
He was a wonderful father to Ian, Andrea "Andi" (Mike) Banwell, and Eryn (Grayson) Lynum. Cherished Poppa to Ezekiel "Zeke", Ellison "Ellis", Weyland "Will", and Aurora "Roary" Lynum and Hanna & Connor Banwell. Dear brother to Pam (Warren) Hagey and uncle to nieces Bronwyn & Aliyah Hagey. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Rose (Philip) Knepp and Amy Osman and his brother-in-law, Robert "Ed" (Janet) Osman, Jr. Nephews and Nieces in Pennsylvania: Warren Mackie III " Mackie" Hosack, Ann Lattanzio, Robert Edward III " Robbie" Osman, Alexis Osman, Nicholas Osman, Leroy Schoaf III, and Christopher Shoaf. He will also be greatly missed by his Aunt Marion (Fiebig) Young and Aunt Betty Fiebig. A friend to many. His memory will be treasured by those who knew him and he will remain forever in our hearts.
In addition to his parents, Bob and Audrey (Latham) Fiebig, he was preceded in death by his grandchild, baby Lynum, nephews Matthew & Seth Hagey, father and mother-in-law, Bob and Rose Osman, baby Johnny Osman and grandparents Lester and Ada Fiebig and Turner and Naomi Latham, Uncle Dave Fiebig and Uncle Brad Young.
Alan had a desire to tell others about God’s love and His amazing gift of salvation, forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven. The Bible says that this is a gift for all who put their faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Alan became a born-again Christian at an early age and went on to devote his life to God, family and serving others. He enjoyed reading and studying his Bible and he actively served the Lord in many different ways. Alan helped his sister to pack Christmas shoeboxes each year to help send the Gospel message to children in other parts of the world through Samaritan's Purse.
He had a very interesting and fulfilling life and enjoyed creating and inventing all sorts of helpful things from the time he was a teenager. He was very innovative! He also enjoyed traveling around the United States, Canada and England, camping, photography, snowmobiling, geocaching, playing chess and other games, cooking, working on computers, electronics, cars and he co-authored a guidebook to help people wanting to live off-grid. He cherished time spent with family and friends and was known for his kindness and sense of humor.
Burial will be private at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL on May 6, 2026.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
