Carole was born on April 5, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, to Calvin and Esther (Weissfuss) Martens. She grew up in Oak Lawn and worked in banking for the majority of her life.
Carole is remembered for her kindness and generosity. She enjoyed attending plays and traveling. Above all, she cherished time with family and friends.
Carole is survived by her cousins Thomas (Linda) Martens, William (Shelley) Martens, Jacqueline (Martens) Szulczewski, Cynthia (Martens) Lamacki and Carolyn (Martens) Tackes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Esther (Weissfuss) Martens and her brother, Robert C. Martens.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 16 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chapel Hills Garden South. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Carole’s life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
