Gerald John Flaherty

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 10, 1942. Gerald graduated from Leo High School in 1960 and received his Bachelor's Degree from Loyola University. Gerald had a career working various management roles for BP Amoco with 33 years of service for the company. He was a proud member of the Fish Tales Fishing Club, and had a passion for fishing, boats, being outdoors in nature, and most especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was also a long-time member of the Orland Memorial American Legion Post 111.

He was survived by his children: Richard (Amy) Flaherty, Brian (Kimberly) Flaherty, and Michelle (Rick) Tosch; beloved grandfather to: Morgan Flaherty, Bailey Flaherty, Jack Flaherty, Owen Tosch, Evan Flaherty, Audrey Tosch, and Mason Flaherty.

A visitation for Gerald will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.

A wake will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, Friday morning, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a chapel service from 11:00 am - 12:00 PM. The internment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum,6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803 at 12:15 PM.
