it was certainly a pleasure for my wife Michele and I to have known Barb's husband Harold. I was Interim Pastor at Bethel when I got to know him. What a great guy!  Thank the Lord for him

We thank the LORD for Harold. He was a great guy. Such a friendly and loving person. We are glad to have been Interim Pastor and friend to him and to Barb.

Barbara I’m so sorry for your loss, Harold was a special person and I know you’ll miss him terribly. Use your loving memories of Harold to comfort you in your grief and your large extended family to keep his memory alive. He really was a special loving man.

Love Harold.Many a time I'd be doing something during the sunday service,going back and forth through the building,and Harold would be sitting outside the sanctuary doors on the bench and I'd always sit a few minutes with him to talk.He'd always ask me something about music,tell each other jokes,or we'd talk about his time at National Can and he'd want to know about the places I'd worked at.I always kid him that he reminded me of the bygone actors of yesterday like Randolph Scott and Charelton Heston:) and he'd crack up...will miss him but we will get to sit and talk again soon.

Harold will 4ever be in our hearts. An Extended stay at our local Best Western Hotel brought he and Barb into our lives several years ago. We looked forward to their annual visits to Kentucky after that chance meeting. Always got together for lunch or supper. My favorite was the year Joe wasn’t here and I got to spend 4 or 5 hours visiting with them at the Mexican restaurant.  Barb, you are an angel sent from Heaven and Harold was your saintly, funny Honey. Fly high, my friend, until we meet again. Barb, I Iove you. 

Harold was a precious man of God. He always had a real smile when he would greet you. He also had a story and a joke to tell. He was truly happy in the Lord. He adored his family. I always loved to see Barb's Facebook pictures of family celebrations. Harold's birthday celebrations were the best because he was always so happy. He enjoyed the life that God had blessed him with. It's so rare to see anyone who has that authentic joy so deep down in their heart yet, it cannot be contained. It's also rare to see married couples who haven't been pounded down by the grief and pain of this world. Harold and Barb loved each other with the love of God. Barb's gentle care for her sweetheart as his health failed is an inspiration for all of us. That's the vow we promise to our spouses that's  difficult to honor. My heart grieves for Barb, Candie and the rest of Harold's family. He was bigger than life. He is now experiencing the best life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That makes all of us happy. 

Mr. Cox will always be remembered for his sense of humor , kindness, and wanting to steal my golden retriever. He always acted like he was younger than he was  and had great wit. Love and prayers for the family at this time. He is happy and in  a better place but will be missed.
