

Born on November 28, 1930, in Norway, Michigan and raised in Florence, WI. Helen lived a long and loving life surrounded by family, friends, and her many cherished memories. She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Horath a loving mother to Deborah (Frank) Bryan, Michael (Ann) Horath, and Mark Horath.
Helen was the proud and cherished Nana of Natalie (Vincent Pernnavaria) Horath and Ashley Coward and a doting great-grandmother to two adored furbabies, Beast and Sirius. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ada Greenquist; her sister, Beverly Lietzow, and her brother, Ralph Greenquist. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Known for her vibrant spirit and love of life, Helen found joy in shopping, picture taking, gardening, and collecting treasures. Her warmth, humor, and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation and service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn.
