Joan was the beloved wife of the late James L. Sloan. She was a loving and devoted mother to Joy (Timothy) Daly and William L. (Emily) Richmond. Joan’s greatest pride and joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren: Ann (Daniel) Solomacha, Rebecca Daly (Ruth Robert), Melissa, Hailey, and Jacob Richmond. She was also a proud and adoring great-grandmother to Paisley and Josephine Solomacha, who brought endless light and happiness to her life.
Joan lived her life with warmth, energy, and a deep appreciation for the moments that made life beautiful. She loved to travel and treasured evenings at the theatre, where she could enjoy the magic of live performances. Music, especially the soulful rhythms of the blues, filled her heart with joy. She loved to dance, delight in lively nights out, and celebrate life wherever she could.
Above all else, Joan loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughters meant the world to her and were the greatest source of her happiness and pride. She created a legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that her heart was full of love and that she was surrounded by love in her final moments. Joan will be remembered for her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and the deep love she shared so freely with others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Respectfully, all services for Joan will be private.
