Thomas Joseph Keane, Husband to Marion Carol Boness, Father of 4 sons; Patrick Thomas, Michael Anthony, Matthew Mark and Thomas Patrick. Former son of Buffalo , New York south side Irish native child of Cazenovia creek. Love of Country and adopted hometown Chicago , Illinois . Great fan of the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and the Notre Dame fighting Irish. Though he made his life never free of easy burden, His heart and spirit were large, loveable, intense and often funny. What a guy! One for the ages; a good friend once coined the TomCat as "one in a million, you'll never meet anyone like him". May he finally achieve restful and peaceful days in heaven despite his lack of declared faith. I believe that he believed and I know he believed in me.

Aunt Marion,  and my cousins,  Pat,  Matt,  Mike and  Tom, 
Sending you my deepest condolences.  I have many great memories of Uncle Tommy,  and visiting with you all, that I will cherish forever.  
Knowing that he will join my mother,  Connie Keane Smith,  and the rest of their siblings that have gone on before them,  is comforting.  RIP  Uncle Tommy,   you will be greatly missed my many.

People like Tom Keane stay with you throughout your life. No matter where you go. Tom was my mother's cousin. When I was a young girl he lived with us for several months on McKinley Parkway in South Buffalo. He was warm, funny and ignited in us kids a passion for baseball.

Hard to come up with the proper words that would come close to the sadness I have in my heart with the loss of your husband/father. At the same time I do understand he was ready to move on. He was my baseball Dad for many years and taught me much more than just the game. I will always love him and never forget him. RIP Mr. Keane, I will see you again, someday.

Aunt Marion and  family., my sincere thoughts and prayers are with you . Uncle Tom  was a unique individual .He could make you laugh any time he was around. I will think of him every time I watch a Notre Dame game.  Many great times in South Bend with  Uncle Tom.  I'm  sure he's  with his pals in heaven.  Won't Joey be glad to see him. Dear Keane family let me begin by sending my condolences. I played baseball for Mr. Keane during my early childhood in the 80's. What i can say is that i truely enjoyed my experience playing for him and in a lot of ways i couldnt wait to spend time with Tom talking baseball. He really made me feel special !!! I have so many great memory of baseball and Tom played a crtical role in that.He will also be near and dear to my heart.

Thinking of the wonderful Keane family and praying for all of you. Mr. Keane was as large as life and lived life by example. His warm welcome and going above and beyond to always do the right thing was a genuine role model to all of us. We are all better people to have had the pleasure of having him in our lives. If everyone were as loyal as Mr Keane the world would truly be at peace. RIP Mr Keane You Did a Great Job

Dear Keane family. Sad to hear about your loss. Hard to look at the photo Pat posted and not feel a tug at my heart for the "goood O.L. days". I could always count on Mr. Keane not pulling any punches ans saying exactly what was on his mind. Growing up with the Keane family has always been special to me. I'm glad you were all able to be together one last time and have those precious memories. He will always live on in our hearts.

Uncle Tom is responsible for some great memories from my childhood!  I took my first airplane ride to visit him and Marion in Chicago when I was 13.  He took Me to Buffalo, which was my 1st trip to Buffalo/1st family reunion. Tom and Marion had never met me before, but instantly took me in as if I had known them all of my life! Needless to say wonderful memories! My thoughts and prayers are with Marion and all of the family.

Dear Keane Family, your father was an important person in my life growing up in Oak Lawn and during my time in the Navy. I always looked forward to seeing him while home on leave. Sorry for your loss.

Too many memories to share, sand dunes, double header Cubs/Mets and Yankee's/Sox all in the same weekend trip, china town dinner, ND games, just a few that I will always remember and treasure. Rest in Peace Uncle Tom.

I'm so sorry and sad about the passing of Mr. Keane. He was a giant in the neighborhood and probably one of the all-time great baseball coaches in Oak Lawn history. I knew and have known Mr. and Mrs. Keane and all of the Keane boys my whole life and I will keep all of the great memories of hanging out at the Keane house on Oak Center Drive close to my heart.

Marion and Family: Please accept our sincerest condolences upon the passing of Tom. We wish we could be there with you during this difficult time. Weather conditions in Buffalo prevent us from traveling. We carry with us fond memories of Tom in Chicago, Notre Dame and so many other places. Uncle Tom a wonderful man!  He and Aunt Marian sat with me most of the day when i went into labor with Mary Kate!  Her middle name would have been Thomas had she been a boy!  I will never forget all of your kind words and special prayers for you now that your at peace! Love Marylisa

Thanks for all the great memories to my Father Thomas Joseph Keane and for all the support of the Keane folks around the map and to all his close friends from Oak Lawn. The friends of my Father are truly my friends too and I look forward to days in the future when we can still get together and share TomCat stories. Last summer us Chicago Keane's spent time together at our Nephew's wedding in Earlville, IL. The photo was our last altogether as one "the dillon park gang".
