Alicia Deogracias Amacio

Alicia Amacio, beloved mother and grandmother (Lola), passed away on September 24, 2025, in Orlando, FL. She was born in Pangisinan, Philippines, on August 5, 1950, to Maria (Deogracias) and Alfredo Terrado. Alicia is remembered as a happy, carefree child growing up with 5 older siblings, Troadio, Manuel, Alfredo Jr., Odon, and Aurora. She especially enjoyed religious fiestas and time spent with cousins.

Alicia received her law and accounting degree from the University of the East and passed the Phillippines Bar in 1976 on her first attempt. Alicia emigrated to the U.S. for better opportunities and worked as a business analyst for almost 30 years. Alicia married Geronimo Amacio Jr. on August 16, 1980, and they welcomed their only child, Pamela Grace, on March 18, 1984. Alicia and (Pamela) Grace settled in Hillside in 1992. Alicia thoroughly enjoyed cooking, especially for family gatherings. She was also passionate in her local Catholic community and often hosted prayer groups within her home. Alicia eventually moved to Orlando, FL in 2023 to be closer to her granddaughters.

Predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers (Troadio, Manuel, and Alfredo Jr.) and granddaughter, Julia. Her legacy is carried forward by her daughter, Grace Clements and her spouse, Peter; her granddaughters, Charlotte and Alice, and her brother, Odon, her sister, Aurora, and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, unselfish generosity, and her strong dedication to the Catholic faith.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 3 pm to 7 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens West, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL. A funeral service for Alicia will be held at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York St. Elmhurst, Illinois, 60125 on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10 am. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. 1400 S. Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to America Needs Fatima and EWTN.
