

George Frank Chapp, known to family and friends as Frank, passed away in Northbrook Illinois on April 18, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.
Born on February 11, 1959, in Germany, Frank carried with him throughout his life the strength, resilience, and quiet dignity that would come to define him. Those who knew Frank will remember him as loving, funny, and generous, qualities that were evident in the way he treated others and in the steady kindness he brought into every room. Frank especially enjoyed watching sports, a pastime that brought him enjoyment and connection throughout the years. It was one of the many simple joys that made him smile and gave those around him another way to know his easygoing and cheerful personality.
He is preceded in death by his father John R Chapp and mother Della J Chapp He is survived by his brother John Chapp, daughter, Amy Chapp Morales, and her husband; Jose Carmen Morales; and his sister, Martha Blankenship. Frank’s family was central to his life, and he cherished the bonds he shared with them. His love for his daughter and his close relationship with his brother were among the most meaningful parts of his journey. He will be remembered not only for the roles he held in life, but for the love he gave so freely and the memories he created with those closest to him.
Frank’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. Though he is no longer present in body, the kindness he showed, the humor he shared, and the generosity he offered will remain with those who loved him. One of his proudest accomplishments was reaching 8 years sober. He will be remembered with affection and gratitude, and his memory will continue to bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.
Visitation for Frank will take place Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home and Cemetery, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Chapel Service to follow at the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow.
