Jane W. Graham

Jane Graham, age 103, passed away on December 14, 2023, due to complications from pneumonia. Jane was born on May 13, 1920 to Marion and Clarence Winchell, and was one of three children. She attended and graduated from Rockford College in 1942. Jane married Craig Graham Sr on July 12, 1943. They made their home and raised their family in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Jane had a love of children and worked as a teacher’s aide while she raised her family. Later she took a position as a social worker.

Jane enjoyed her family, helping children and was an avid gardener. Upon retirement, she and her husband enjoyed RV camping, traveling and getting together with friends. They eventually moved to the Covenant Living at the Holmstad campus where they spent their final days.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Jane is survived by her children; Susan Larsen, Craig Graham Jr, and Andrew Graham; granddaughter Tara Luther and her husband Nick Luther; great-grandson Dawson Luther, along with many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, parents, and siblings.

She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Gardens West cemetery next to her husband, daughter and parents.

There will be no funeral but a celebration of life to take place next year. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Covenant Care at Home Hospice for their excellent care and support during Jane’s illness.
