John Robert Lange Jr., age 87, passed away peacefully at his home on January 16, 2015. He was a World War II Veteran for the Army of The United States of America. John was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and he had a lengthy career in the Communications industry. John was an award winning radio controlled free flight airplane enthusiast. He was an outdoorsman and had a passion for horses. John was also an avid reader, highlighted by his achievement of reading the entire Encyclopedia. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Lange, and his sister, Rosemary Budd nee Lange. Loving uncle of Janice (Greg) Doublestein and Charles (Kathleen) Budd; Cherished friend of Stephen King. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 from 10 AM up until the time of the service, also at the funeral home at 12 PM. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
