Katherine "Katie" Anne Evans

Katherine Anne Evans (Katie), 35 of Villa Park, IL died early morning 16 July, 2013 at home. Katie was born 5:25 pm, 24 March, 1978 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL to Anne and Ed Evans. Katie graduated from Willow Brook HS Class of 97. After High School Katie worked in several different professions but excelled as the Group Sales Manager for Rink Side Family Entertainment Center in Gurnee, IL. She loved animals and her pet cat Earl Grey was a rare find at the local Animal Shelter in Gurnee. Katie’s memory will be cherished by her parents Anne & Ed, her brother Justin and his wife Amanda, her sister Sarah, Grand Mother Lois Evans of Deep River, IA, Aunt Nancy Evans of Cheyenne, WY, Uncle Peter and Aunt Ziona Helmers of Israel, Cousins, many friends and her beloved cat Earl as well as the other family pets. Katie was preceded in death by her Brother Brent, maternal Grand Parents Fred & Beth Helmers, Uncle Gary Evans, fraternal Grand Father and maternal Great Grand Parents and fraternal Great Grand Mother. A visitation and memorial service has been scheduled for 25 July from 4 to 8 pm with a service from 7:30 to 8 pm at the Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery & Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oak Brook Terrace, IL 60181 (630) 941-5860, located just west of the intersection of Route 83 and Roosevelt Road on the south side. Memorials may be made in Katie’s name to the Willowbrook Wildlife Center, Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, 525 S. Park Avenue, Glen Ellyn, IL. 60137 or Animal Shelter/Humane Society of your choice in Katie’s name. There was not a creature Katie didn’t love. God Bless everyone for their prayers, acts of kindness in our time of sorrow and especially our Savior Jesus Christ who continues to lead us by the valley of the shadow of death. All creatures great or small, she loved them all. In lieu of flowers donations to a human society of your choice are appreciated.
