

Kenneth enjoyed riding and fixing motorcycles in his youth, rebuilding cars and fixing things. He loved to spend time with family and friends at Fox Lake going water skiing, boating, and tubing. He also enjoyed spending time at his friend’s farm in Michigan shooting guns and helping out around the Mosher’s property. He liked swimming, running, and going to the health club. He loved sun tanning, playing golf, and playing call of duty in the garage with his friends while smoking cigars.
Ken graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School and attended Triton College for a short time to pursue an electronic engineering degree. He married Caroline Castro and decided to change career paths as an automotive technician eventually achieving the level of Master Mechanic as a top 20 district mechanic in the Midwest region. He had an innate ability to fix nearly anything and everything.
Ken and Caroline raised their daughters in Elmhurst, Illinois. He persevered throughout the tumultuous journey with his disease and lived a happy and fulfilling life. Ken loved his family and was very proud of his two daughters Ariel and Ashley. He loved his brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
His often-racy sense of humor and helpful nature will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Caroline Castro-Arvis, daughters Ariel Arvis and Ashley Arvis, brothers Steven Arvis (Jodi-w)and Michael Arvis (Doris-w), and mother Selma (Mirshak) Arvis, and all his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father William Theodore Arvis.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home at 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. January 18th, services will be from 4 pm-8pm
