Marlene Rose Joy nee Wolf, 80, of Lombard passed away on July 17, 2021. Beloved wife of Donald “Donnie” Joy. She is survived by her children Lynn Reising, James Joy and Cynthia Joy; her grandchildren Ethan Reising, the late Zuzu Reising, Lillian Reising, Jasmin Joy-Rocha and Rachel Joy-Rocha; her sisters Rita (the late William) Grobe and Margaret (the late Joseph) Ogden. She is preceded in death by her parents John “Jack” and Irene Wolf nee Renkosiak.
Marlene was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending hours tending to her garden and caring for the many varieties of flowers she grew. Her one request was lots of colorful flowers for her services. While living at Artis Senior Living she enjoyed creating flower arrangements from the flowers donated by others. The family would like to carry on the same tradition in her memory by donating all floral arrangements to Artis Senior Living so others can enjoy using beautiful flowers to create their own floral arrangements. Monetary donations in Marlene’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or to Metropolitan Family Services.
