Mary E. Rutherford Eder passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011. Mary was a longtime dedicated employee of Bankers Life and Casualty Co. Mary loved family, life and her country to the fullest. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur John Rutherford (1972) and the late Robert Eder; beloved mother of Linda (Robert) Kostera, Arthur (Theresa) Rutherford, Robert Rutherford, Deborah (Timothy) Vander Weg and Donna (Geoffrey) Horigan; devoted grandmother of Michael, Kelly, Kimberly, Diane, Artith, Weston, Dylan, Colton and the late Lisa Marie; fond great-grandmother of nine; and adored great-great-grandmother of two. Visitation will be on Monday, from 4 to 9 p.m., with a Celebration of life at 7:30 p.m., and her funeral service will be on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road (½ block west of Route 83), Oakbrook Terrace.
