Noreen was born to Frank and Leona Little on June 17, 1927 in Berwyn, Illinois. As a child she excelled in school and had many friends that she continued to stay in contact with until these past couple of years.
Noreen met her husband, Bob, early in her life because they were neighbors. They started dating when Bob returned from the Navy after World War II. They married August 31, 1948 and went on to have two daughters, Linda (Hallman) and Ellen (Jeffrey, previously Stocco) residing in Lombard, Illinois for 30 years. In 1979 they retired and moved to Mt. Morris, Wisconsin where they lived for over 25 years. Noreen relocated back to Illinois in 2005 after her husband’s death to be closer to family. She resided at Mayslake Village in Oak Brook, Illinois until moving to Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale in 2017 and then to Alden Poplar Creek Extended Care this past August.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Noreen also loved gardening, playing the piano and organ, socializing with her many friends and family and staying actively involved in her community with the VFW and holding various volunteer roles at Holden Lutheran Church in Mt. Morris, Wisconsin. Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Noreen joins her husband Bob, her parents Frank O. and Leona H. Little, her brother Oakley Little, and granddaughter Christine Koeb (previously Stocco) in Heaven. She is survived by her children Ellen (Philip) Jeffrey and Linda (Michael) Hallman and her grandchildren Peter (Heather) Stocco, Michael (Lindsay) Hallman and Kelly Hallman, in addition to her great-grandchildren Hailey and Jenna Stocco, Madeline Hallman and Ariana Mae Koeb.
