Mom, you have always been a safe place to fall. I remember coming home from school and we'd talk about what kind of day I had. I could tell you anything. When we moved to the 3BR home in Downers Grove when I was 4 you would always open the house to the neighborhood ladies for coffee and chit chat. You were always a good listener. Most of all I'll remember you weeding in your garden that my Dad surrounded with pieces of flagstone. Your garden was the prettiest I've ever seen. You had day lilies, tiger lilies, snapdragons, batchelor buttons, zinnias and best of all fresh pure white carnations. Your family already misses your prescence.

Thank you grandma for always welcoming me into your home and being a safe person to talk to. I cherish that so much. Thank you for your love and for sharing your life with me while you could. Thank you for your humor and your observations about the world. Rest in peace, my dear Peggy June.

I love you very much, great-grandma. I wish there was more time to see your smiling face, but I hope you help guide me in everything I do. Just know when I see flowers or a plane go by I'll be thinking of you. I love you and truly hope you get to spend great time with your family and friends. You will be so missed.

We're going to miss you but I'm happy you're home now. You'll be on my mind this Christmas. I brought your Santa Claus home and plan on displaying him in memory of you this holiday season. Love always, Lori
