Roberto was born in Havana, Cuba on June 15, 1939. Cary and Roberto were married June 5, 1971 joining her daughters Dunia and Marlene and his son, Roberto creating a new blended family. A year later, they welcomed their daughter Janet. They immigrated to the United States on July 17, 1973 seeking a better life and opportunities for his family.
Roberto dedicated his life to serving others, a pillar for his family and those close to him. Anyone who knew him understood that family was his top priority. He is remembered as the Dad who would do anything for his wife and children, and as the Abuelo who played the trumpet and sang with his grandchildren. Most importantly, he was a noble, hardworking man who used his life to guide others to Jesus. Alongside his wife, he devoted decades to sharing the gospel and founded Iglesia CCAA “Libertad,” where they cultivated a community of Christians who became more than just church members—a true family.
Pastor Roberto served faithfully until his passing, exemplifying the fight of faith for us all. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in the family he leaves behind. We find peace in knowing he is now spending eternity with Jesus !
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’”
