Beloved Mother and Grandmother, Wanru Li Hu passed away peacefully on July 26, 2021. She was born on August 6,1925 in Hopei, China and later earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from National Taiwan University in 1948. She married Kuang Tai Hu in 1951 in Taiwan with whom she shared thirty-nine anniversaries, before his death in 1991. While accompanying her husband on his diplomatic assignments in Tokyo, New York, Ottawa, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Chicago, she entertained scores of guests and dignitaries with dinners utilizing her Chinese culinary skills. During the late seventies she taught adult education Chinese cooking at Triton College. She is survived by her three children, Henry, Robert and Eric, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael and two younger sisters, Lily Lee Chen and Jane Koh.
