Margaret Elizabeth Holladay
On the morning of Saturday, March 11th, 2023 our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away. Margaret Elizabeth Holladay, was born February 8th, 1957 to Ebert Benjamin Bissett and Luella D Owen in Fresno, CA. She grew up in the Fresno area, and was baptized as a member of the LDS Church at the age of 10, and was faithful to the church for the remainder of her life. She loved conducting the music at church and signing the hymns. As a single mom of five, she met the love of her life Bryan Holladay and together they added a son to complete their family. She had a love for riding motorcycles with Bryan and was always up for an adventure. She was an incredible seamstress and made dresses, blankets, and so many Halloween costumes using anything she could get her hands on. She was a dreamer and wanted to find the perfect job for her. She has been a phlebotomist, bus driver, car detailer, she started her own etching business, but did more for gifts than she actually sold, and she recently retired from Mercedes of Fresno, where she worked as a cashier. But by far, her most important role was being a wife, mom, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bryan Holladay, daughter Elizabeth and husband Mark Contreras, daughter Alicia and husband Joe Garteski, daughter Rebecca Gonzalez and wife Roxanne Beaird Williamson, son Benjamin and wife Becky Gonzalez, daughter Maria and husband Tom Shepard, son Jared and wife Whitney Holladay, her 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Rosemary and husband Carl Jordan, brother Ebert and wife Descynes Bissett, sister Denise Bissett, brother Jay and wife Claudia Gilbert, and sister Sherri Barclay, in addition to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Ebert Bissett and mother Luella Owen.
