Michael W Holmes, age 65, of Oakland, California passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Michael Wayne Holmes, was born on November 08, 1958 in Monroe, LA to the late Delton and Nevada Holmes (Gray). He was one of ten children born to this union. He departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Earl Holmes, Jearl Holmes, William Holmes and Jimmy Holmes; one sister Carolyn Richards; His son Cedric Williams and grandson Cedric Williams Jr.

Michael was kind hearted and loved helping others in his family and his community. He loved music and expressed his love by playing the guitar and keyboard.

Michael joined the army June 20.1980 and was an honorable veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son Fredric Williams of Farmerville, LA., 3 grandchildren, one sister Dorothy White (Joe) of El Dorado AZ., 3 brothers Donnie Holmes of Homer LA., Gary Holmes of Oakland CA., John Holmes of Fairfield CA., and one aunt Joanne Boscarello of Antioch CA., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Michael, will be laid to rest Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:0' clock pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon CA 95620
