Rita was born September 11, 1957 in Oakland and she was the youngest of four children to Robert and Mary Beck.
A viewing for Rita will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 12:00 PM at C. P. Bannon Mortuary, 6800 International Blvd, Oakland, CA. Services for Ms. Rita Elaine Sims will occur Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 6901 Herbert Guice Way, Oakland, CA.
Rita will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum, 6450 Camden Street, Oakland, CA.
Serving as pallbearers are Davon Monroe, Anthony Johnson, Benjamin Franklin, Steven Harvey, Lloyd Sims, Emmett T. Blunt III, Emmett T. Blunt IV and Branden Valentine.
