Rest in heaven Aunt Bermil, I love you so much and hold you very close to my heart. When i spoke to you on the phone , on the night of my wedding it filled my heart with so much love, I was holding back tears and I wish I had called more , I just want that to be known. I love you and will never forget all the things you have shown and told me❤️ I’m sorry for you’re loss Uncle Howard, you two are just such a beautiful couple and the love you had for each other was so admirable and I would love keep in touch more. I love y’all❤️

It’s is absolutely remarkable that a woman who touched the hearts of so many lived her life with such humility and grace.
We will miss her conversations and the warmth of her embrace .

We will never forget her signature laugh or pleasant smile ,
Or the aroma of the ackee and sailfish  that you could smell from a mile!

Aunt Bermil treasured family and true friends above everything but her Savior ,
She came to know him and it made her life so much happier,
We are thankful for the joy you brought to our family , 
And the true love and happiness that you gave to our Uncle Howie !

We pray that you are at peace and cradled in your Savior’s arms, 
When we get lonely we will remember your favorite Psalms.

We, the Newsome Family of Retirement, St. Elizabeth are deeply saddened to hear about Bermil's passing. May loving memories of your dear sister help you find peace. Thinking of the Rhoden and Vassell family and wishing you strength and comfort  during this time . Just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We extend our deepest condolences as Bermil was such a wonderful, devoted and dignified person. She was loved by all who knew her but Jesus loves her best.

Aunt Bermil was a great& phenomenal woman. She never forgot about a back to school gift of new school shoes for September. I’ll never forget the unique shoes she would ensure that I have each year! A visionary who was thoughtful and kind. She is really the epitome of love & kindness . Her memories will live on forever! 

My condolences goes out the entire family from the Thompson and Rhoden family here in the Bronx NY. 

We were all so young, walking together to and from school as cousins, but we also quickly became best friends. We shared everything, from our favourite dreams to our deepest secrets. We grew up together, and you were always there for us, through thick and thin. 
We looked forward to walking home on Friday afternoons where we would stop to talk at a special spot by the roadside. This was where Bermil would encourage us to share our dreams of growing up into adults. Bermil told us that she was going to have a big house, and cars for her parents and siblings.  She added that she would provide the nicest things for her family.
We will never forget all the fun times we had together. We would play games, shared stories and jokes, and go on adventures in the areas behind our houses gathering the produce from the land. You were always the brave one, the protector as you would never allow  anyone to interfere with us and we would always follow your lead. We had so many laughs together, and we will cherish those memories forever.
You were also the most kind and compassionate person we have ever known. You always put others before yourself, and you always had a smile on your face. You were a true friend and cousin and we are so grateful to have had you in our lives.
We know that you are in a better place now, and that you are no longer in pain.  We will never forget you, and we will always love you.
Rest in peace in the arms of our Saviour, our dear cousin Bermil.

Deepest condolences to the family.  I remember her as one of my mother's best friends,  from the Jamaica Telephone Co. She was the prettiest one in the group - except for my mom Daphne of course.

One of my fondest memories with auntie Bermil, was my 1st summer in America at age 10 or 11. My dad would drop me off on his way to work in the morning. I had the best summer with her. She took me shopping and out to eat with her friends. I remember thinking,  I want to be like Aunt Bermil when I grow up.  She will be greatly miss and forever in our hearts. 

I will miss you at church on Sundays. You were a loving church sister and great listener, always having time for me. All your phone calls to check up on me and my mom will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend.
