He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 11, 1949 to Bernard and Mary Piccirillo. Dan attended Notre Dame High School where he got his high school diploma.
On July 6, 1997, Dan married the love of his life, Patricia "Pat" Conklin.
He began his career as a baker in the family bakery in Bridgeport. Taking a break from the baker life, Dan went on to manufacture blades for Sikorsky Aircraft. He found that being a baker is what he was meant to be and returned back to the industry Grand Union. Even in retirement, Dan could not sit idle, as he did a small part time job with Steve's Famous P-Nuts at the Market of Marion.
Dan belonged to the Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree knight. He had a well known passion for his cigars and pipes.
Dan is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Christine Pozefsky (Mike); step-sons, Ray Dinitto, Eric Conklin, Jason Conklin, Casey Conklin (Renne), and Danny Conklin (Lynann), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary (Tami) and Bernie (Kathy), his sister, Marion Passaro, and many nephews and nieces.
