It is with a heavy heart we note the passing of Dorothy M. Powers on January 16, 2021. Parents Paul and Mary Roth, her husband John J., and brother James Roberts all predeceased her. Originally from Youngstown, OH, she and her husband ventured to Coral Springs, then Ocala.
Dorothy was a strong-willed, independent woman. She enjoyed the company of friends, traveling, working in her garden, and loved her pets. She worked in real estate for many years. She was involved with her church, the Veterans Women's Auxillary, and volunteered at Brother's Keeper.
Visitation is Tuesday, January 26 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 3-7 pm. Fr. Patrick J. Sheedy will hold a prayer service at 6pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 27 at 10:30 am at Blessed Trinity Church. A private internment will take place later at the National Cemetery at Bushnell.
Memorial contributions can be made to Brother's Keeper or the ASPCA.
