

Elizabeth Ann Staples, "Betty", 68, died on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida. She was a native of San Francisco, CA and spent her childhood in Montana before moving to Kansas City, MO. has a teenager.
She was the daughter of the late Wayne Grady Gordon and Virginia Rose Choate. She graduated in 1959 from West Point High School in Kansas City, MO. Betty married James L. Staples on September 27, 1969 in Miami, Florida.
Betty pastored Breath of Fire Ministries for 7 years, and she also owned and operated Agape Ceramics for 12 years and sold health and life insurance for Amerilife.
She enjoyed painting and her music, but her greatest joy came from her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James L. Staples of Belleview, son and his wife; James M. and Shelley Staples of VA; two daughters and their husbands; Serenity and Tom Stanfield of Ocala, FL, Roxanne and Rich Oaks of Belleview, FL; grandchildren; Ashley and Nick Hoefly of NY, Zach and Melissa Milligan of WA, Matthew Staples and Michael Staples both of VA, Madison, Alison, Speed, and DJ Stanfield all of Ocala, FL, and Dakota Oaks of Ocala, FL. Great grandson Arion Milligan of WA, sister; Shirley Gordon and a brother, Michael Gordon.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Virginia Gordon and grandson Alex Quinones.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 12:00-2:00 PM at the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, Fl with the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480.
