Estelle Gail Shannis, 59, of Ocala, passed away on June 10, 2012 at the Legacy House. She was born on May 2, 1953 in Camp LeJeune, NC to the late James George Shannis and the late Nadean Mary (Nanny) Shannis. She is remembered for her love of family, her animals, gardening and working in the yard, and eating junk food while watching Sci-Fi movies. She will be dearly missed by her partner of 8 ½ years Cindy Kerns, one son Samuel Mac (Marlena) Bellamy,Jr. of Silver Springs, three daughters Sandra Gail (Michael) Shetzline of Silver Springs, Stacy Nadean (Mark) Barnhart of Ocklawaha, Tracy Elizabeth Bellamy of Silver Springs, step son Michael (Donna) Coyne, Jr. in Tennessee, step daughter Jennifer (Brian) Clark of Dunnellon, a brother George Oliver Shannis, Sr. of Silver Springs, two sisters, Nadean Jane McIntosh of Lake City, Bessie Ellen Shannis of Silver Springs, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 6:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Memorial donation may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Legacy Hospice House. Forest Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
