Gamaliel S. Lopez, Jr. M.D., age 53 of The Villages died Tuesday January 10, 2012 at Monroe Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 7, 1958 in Manila, Philippines a son to Gamaliel S. and Adelina Lopez both of The Villages. Dr. Lopez was an Internal Medicine Physician with the Villa Medical Group. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. In addition to his parents he leaves behind to cherish his memories three sisters Josephine Matsumoto of Yorba Linda, California, Kathryn Sicalides of Linden, Washington, and Betsy Tan of Loma Linda, California.He was preceded in death by a sister Idah Jean Layug A visitation has been scheduled for Friday January 13, 2012 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with the service following at 5:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment and further services will be conducted in California. Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
