He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Franky Payne ; his son, Timothy Payne of West Palm Beach FL; his twin brother, Herbert Payne and family from Vernon, BC, Canada; his brother-in-law, Herb and nieces and nephews from Canada and his sisters-in-law and families from Ohio.
His life passion was being a jockey and later an out-rider in the Thoroughbred Industry. After his retirement in 1980, he worked for Coastal Fuel in Port Everglades until 1996. He then moved to Sparr, Florida.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 10am-2pm at Fort McCoy Community Center.
