Evans was born on February 10, 1931 in Giles County, TN. He served in the US Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. He made his home in Miami, FL until moving to The Villages in 2007. An electrician by trade he was a proud member of IBEW Local 349.
He is survived by his wife Olga, his sons Ronald P. Medkiff (Terry), Eugene Hernandez (Sonia), and daughter Mariaelena Vidal (Richard). He was the proud grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 7 and was looking forward to the birth of another in April. He is also survived by sisters Joan McKee and Virginia Norman, many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
Graveside service will be held promptly at 1:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL On Thursday December 27, 2012. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Wounded Warriors at www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
