Joan and her husband Dick retired to Spruce Creek Del Webb in Florida where she enjoyed her bible study and square dancing groups. Joan was also a member of Village View Community Church in Summerfield, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband Dick Sloane, and her brother, Emmoran John Grant.
Joan is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Randall, Catherine, and Carolyn Sloane.
She is also survived by two grandsons, Richard and Christopher Randall, and one granddaughter, Jennifer Randall (fiancé Jonathan Casey).

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, FL.
The family wishes to extend its deepest thanks to the compassionate RNs and CNAs at the Brandley House for making Joan’s journey one of comfort and dignity.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
