Laddie James Collett, 60, of Ocala, Florida passed away on October 1, 2024. Laddie was born on November 15, 1963 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to parents Maury & Lois Collett and grew up primarily in Reddick, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his father, Maury Eugene Collett, sister, Lorrie Bergh, and brother Maury Eugene Collett II.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lois Collett, his sisters Denise Collett, Sheri Collett, Rustyne Bowman (Tim) and brother Richard Collett (Evelyn) and many extended family members.
He graduated from North Marion High School, in Sparr, Florida. Laddie worked many years as an apprentice in the printing industry in Minnesota, and he also worked at Publix in Ocala, Florida for a number of years.
He loved playing tennis and golf and he was a fan of the Florida Gator football team. He also served in the United States Army in the early 1980’s.
The family and friends will gather for the Celebration of Laddie’s Life on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala. Guests will be welcomed starting at 10:30 a.m., with Funeral Services starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Tranquility Garden.
