

Norma Shayhorn (maiden Quispe) of Belleview, FL died peacefully after a two year battle with cancer at The Legacy House on May 11th, 2016 in Ocala, Florida at the age of 53. She was a loving, hard-working woman for whom family meant everything.
Norma is preceded in death by her mother, Zoila, and father, Manuel, of Lima, Peru. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Robert, daughter, Kristina, of Belleview, FL; step father, Pedro, of Lima, Peru sisters, Rosa, Yolanda, Angelica, and Maria, of Ft.Lauderdale, FL, New Jersey, and Lima, Peru; brothers, Javier, Amaro, and Antonio, of Lima, Peru; in-laws, Harry and Gail Shayhorn of Milwaukee, WI; Don and JoAnn Shayhorn of Tarpon Springs, FL; Tom and Lori Shayhorn of Sarasota, FL; and 20 nieces and nephews.
Norma was born on 9/11/1962 in Lima, Peru to Manuel Audicio Quispe Cordova and Zoila Antonia Ruiz. She immigrated to the United States in 1990, where she met and married Robert Shayhorn in 1992. Norma worked for Kmart for 21 years reaching the position of Assistant Manager in the Gainesville, FL location.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 5750 SE 115th ST. Belleview, FL 34421, with a reception to follow. Reverend Lisa J. Hinkle will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Norma’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated.
