

Richard was born on October 12, 1930, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Aaron and Donnabell. He graduated from Jimtown High School and later received his Radio and Television Repair Certification from DeVry.
On February 24, 1951, Richard married the love of his life, Yvonne Marie Deak, and together they recently celebrated 75 wonderful years of marriage.
Throughout his life, Richard worked in farming and manufacturing, holding positions with Studebaker, Excel Corp., Miles Labs, and Paul Pneumatics. He was a hardworking man who took pride in everything he did.
Richard was a devoted member of many Grace Brethren Churches from his teen years and most recently attended Faith Baptist Church of Silver Springs. He held multiple offices in his church service. Richard had a passion for “his cows” and fishing. He played softball for a number of company teams and held a certificate as an Indiana high school basketball referee. Richard served in the United States Army and was deployed to Korea.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Maxson; his sons, Randy and Eric; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Donnabell; his 2 sisters, Roberta and Beverly Jo; and his grandson, Adam.
Richard chose direct burial at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
