Richard F. Simpson, 80, of Ocala, Florida passed away on December 17, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 1, 1931 in Tiltonsville, Ohio to the late Lewis and Manirva (Oliver) Simpson. He is survived by his wife Reba Marie (Ferguson) Simpson, with whom he was married for 34 ½ years.
Burial will take place on Wednesday January 11, 2012, at 11:00am, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
Richard served his Country in the Air Force for 37 years, his Lord, and his God. He was known to help others at whatever they needed done, and folks knew that they could count on him.
Richard is also survived by three sons: Robert Simpson(Sandy), Joe Simpson (Michelle), and Robert Briggs, four daughters: Teresa Simpson-Lamasters (Rob), Cathy Simpson- Siders (Ted), Karen Mulcahy, and Teresa Piercefield, Seventeen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, mother-in-law Beulah Ferguson, a brother Les Simpson,sister-in-law; Mabel Simpson; a nephew John Simpson (Rita), and a niece Jackie Simpson-Lairmore.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home Ocala, Florida.
