Born on December 14, 1942, Robert lived a life defined by service, integrity, and adventure. Upon graduating from high school, he proudly joined the United States Army and served his country with honor in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, Robert continued his lifelong commitment to service by becoming a police officer, where he dedicated himself to protecting and uplifting his community.
Robert’s passion for automobiles led him into a second career in the automotive field, where his knowledge and enthusiasm for cars shone brightly. Even after retiring, he refused to slow down—choosing instead to volunteer his time as a bailiff and community service officer for Marion County, Florida.
Beyond his dedication to service, Robert was a man of many interests. He had a deep love for sports and enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and poker. His adventurous spirit and sense of wanderlust took him to new places and experiences, always eager to see what was beyond the horizon.
Robert is survived by his step-sons Ric and Stan; daughters Jeanne and Patty; grandchildren Ethan, Zoe, Jeremy, and Jessica; great-grandchild Jacob; brother Bill; and sisters Pam and Jeanne. His legacy of strength, kindness, and curiosity will live on in all who had the privilege to know him.
A life well-lived, Robert will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and community.
