Born on January 23, 1938, in Clarendon, Jamaica, Rupert lived a life defined by hard work, devotion, and love for his family. On April 6, 1963, he married his beloved wife, Myrtle Patricia, in Willesden, London — beginning a beautiful partnership that would span more than six decades.
Rupert dedicated the majority of his career to the Ford Motor Company in Dagenham, London, where he worked as a skilled machinist. His diligence, craftsmanship, and commitment left a lasting impression on his colleagues and community alike.
Outside of work, Rupert enjoyed life’s simple and enduring pleasures. He was an enthusiastic fan of cricket and wrestling, and he took great pride in his garden and home projects. His hands were rarely still — whether tending to his plants, fixing something around the house, or lending a hand to others.
Rupert is survived by his devoted wife, Myrtle; his loving children, Paul, Maurice, and Andrea; his cherished grandchildren, Jasmine, Rose, Andre, Rebecca, Taijha, MJ, and Alex; and his great-grandchild, Luluwah.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his humor, and the deep love he shared with his family and friends. Rupert’s legacy of kindness, hard work, and care will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
