Santo Mario Sapia

A graveside service for Santo will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.

Santo Mario Sapia, 89 years old, from Ocala, Florida passed away on January 18, 2024.

Mr. Sapia was born in Priolo, Sicily, Italy to Luigi and Salvatrice Sapia on October 29, 1934. He was educated in Italy and was in the Italian Navy band where he played the tuba. He moved his family to the United States in 1963. He owned several businesses, including the New York Bakery in Middletown, CT. He moved to Ocala Florida in 1976 and worked for the school board of Marion County until his retirement.

Mr. Sapia was preceded in death by his loving wife, Santina Sapia. He is survived by his current wife, Marie Lorito. He is also survived by his brother Angelo Sapia and sister Lina Gibilisco. He is survived by his children Sally Cass, Anna Sapia, Louis Sapia and Roberto Sapia as well as his grandchildren Cristina Amenta, Angela Amenta, Vittoria Amenta, Jennifer Patrick, Kaitlyn Sapia, Olivia Manzone and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held graveside at Forest Lawn memory Gardens in Ocala on February 3, 2024 10:00am with Fr. Patrick Sheedy officiating.
