She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ruth Lapides; her brother, Marvin Jimmick; and her longtime partner, Peter Griffith. Ann is survived by her sister, Rita Arm; nieces, Michelle Listman and Cheryl Greten; and her children: David and Corie Cooperstein, Marc Cooperstein, Sharon and Scott Dellett, and Michael and Megan Cooperstein. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Evan, Jessie, Madelyn, Avary, Asher, and Chloe, and great grandchildren Hudson, Camden and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a 1966 graduate of Asbury Park High School and later attended Brookdale Community College. She worked as a bookkeeper for many businesses throughout her life. Ann had a passion for writing and often dreamed of publishing books. She also loved flowers and co-owned two flower shops with her daughter. In her free time, she enjoyed playing backgammon, Scrabble, mahjong, cards, and bingo. Ann cherished her community of friends at NCHA and truly enjoyed her time there.
Services will be held on Friday, January 9th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean, NJ. Visitation will follow from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Neptune City Community Center, 117 3rd Ave, Neptune City, NJ 07712.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ann’s memory to the Bradley Food Pantry, located at 101 3rd Ave, Neptune City, NJ 07712.
