Ann Freedman

Ann Was born in Waynesboro, GA, raised in Red Bank, NJ and lived in Belmar for 63 years. She was a legal secretary until she became a homemaker and mother.

Her parents, Pauline and David Shipkin and her three brothers, Israel, Sol and Morris Shipkin, predeceased Ann.

In 1940 Ann and Albert Weinstein were married and he predeceased her in 1968.

In 1974 Ann married Samuel Freedman and he predeceased her in 2002.

Ann is survived by her daughter Paula Weinstein Costello and her husband Jim of Middletown, NJ and her son Richard Weinstein and his wife Lorraine of Brick, NJ and her grandson Jeff Weinstein, his wife Heather and her great grandchildren Max and Alex of Montpellier, VT and by her grandson Andrew Weinstein and his wife Dana and her great grandchildren Joey and Jack of Jackson, NJ

Ann is also survived by her step children Paula Cohen and her husband Robert of Farmingdale, NJ and Lea Ruskin and her husband Melvyn of Woodbury, Long Island and Phillip Freedman and his wife Anne of Tinton Falls, NJ, and five step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ann will surely be missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services 12:00 on Tuesday at Chesed Shel Ames Cemetery Neptune. Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels is in charge of arrangements.
