Arlene Louise Grasso

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Arthur Grasso, in 2014. Arlene is survived by her son, Kenneth Grasso, and his wife, Judy of Atlantic Highlands, NJ; granddaughter, Emily and husband, Jake Stetson; great-granddaughters, Stella, Callie, and Lettie of Leonardo, NJ; and brother, Sidney Soffer of CA.

She grew up in Brooklyn and Queens and then settled in New Jersey once she married Joe. Most of her adult life was spent in Rahway, and upon retirement, they moved to Manchester in Ocean County. Throughout her life, Arlene and Joe travelled to many places in the US and abroad. One of her most memorable trips was a cruise to Alaska. Over the years, she kept busy with many fun activities, including Mahjong, Canasta, needlepoint, and visiting the slots and blackjack tables in Atlantic City. Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially celebrating birthdays and holidays, and embracing her roles as Grandma and Gigi.

A visitation will be held at the D’Elia Funeral Home in the Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapel, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Beth Olam Memorial Park, Route 70, Lakewood, NJ.
