She was born on April 26, 1922 in Long Branch, daughter of Lillian and Samuel Scheierman.
On June 1, 1947 she married Herman B. Huber, also of Long Branch. Their first 3 years of married life were spent living in a home by the ocean. The next 52 years the family lived in Little Silver. So, we happily describe her as an Original Jersey Girl!
Beatrice retired from Fort Monmouth as an administrative assistant to the Comptroller after 25 years of service.
Beatrice was a life-long member of Congregation B’nai Israel in Rumson.
She leaves behind her two daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Purslow and her husband Mark, and Constance Van Kirk and her husband John. Grandchildren: Lindsay Purslow Eraso and her husband Jose, Maggie Purslow Joseph and her husband Stephen, Joshua Van Kirk and his wife Christine Waer, Rebecca Van Kirk and her partne, Stuart Murray, and Samantha Van Kirk Sintros and her husband Nicholas. Great-Grandchildren: Eva and Ella Eraso; Kylie, Sienna, and Joshua Joseph; Carver, Samuel, and John Van Kirk; Gavin, Tierney, and Grayden Gruber; and Bennett Sintros.
She was predeceased by Herman, her beloved husband of 62 years, on December 30, 2009.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 10:30 AM at Congregation B'nai Israel Cemetery, 514 Riverdale Avenue West, Tinton Falls, New Jersey 07753.
